Helpful Tips and Links:
Fill out the FAFSA form for federal financial aid. Each state has a deadline, and private schools may have earlier deadlines. Check with your college/university. FAFSA forms are available online starting October 1. You must create a FSA ID at this site before beginning the actual FAFSA form. Click on the FSA ID at the top of the page. You can get the FSA ID now, and start the FAFSA form after October 1.
Use the Federal Student Aid Estimator to help you understand your options for paying for college- provide some basic information and they’ll estimate your eligibility for federal student aid. Click here: Income Estimator.
