Mill Creek "Wee" Are ER Preschool
Our preschool, for 3-4 year olds, provides our youngest learners theopportunity to create, explore, think and reason in environments that arenurturing, respectful, engaging and fun. Early childhood is where a lifetimeof success begins!
We utilize The Creative Curriculum for Preschool program to guide andempower children to be confident, creative, and caring learners throughplay-based, hands-on investigations. We also use Second Step SEL Preschool program, to teach social-emotionallearning (SEL) skills like self-regulation, empathy, emotion management, and friendship building; helping them prepare for kindergarten readiness.
We use "Teaching Strategies Gold" as our assessment tool and participatein the "Great Start to Quality" program and are at the enhancing quality level.
Teachers develop all programming around the Department of Education's Michigan Early Childhood Standards of Quality for Pre-Kindergarten.
