March 7, 2025

This week’s positivity project strength is Love of Learning.  Think about a topic or hobby that you love to learn about.  How can you share that love with others?  Create a plan of how you can share your love of learning with others.

From March 10th to the 14th, there will be a donation drive for students in Monkey River, Belize during your lunch hour. It is a small community in need of school supplies for the students. If you are willing to donate, please bring elementary-age reading books, math workbooks, notebooks, stationary, stickers, and any other school supplies during lunch.

Attention all 8th graders, the slideshow is in need of pictures so if you have any that are SCHOOL RELATED please send them to Delaney Spincich or Molly Plum.

March is reading month! Make sure you grab a Pit Spitters reading log outside the office if you haven't already! Additionally, your teachers wanted to celebrate by sharing some of their favorite books! Today is Mrs. Wilson's recommendation of I am Malala, the story of a girl who stood up for what she believed in and became the youngest nominee of the Nobel Peace Prize. Her true story of bravery in the face of danger will keep you interested until the last page!

Congratulations to Lily Wierema, Gabby Johns, Alexia Shananaquet, Gabbi Johnson, Avery Kiel, Gwen Taylor, and Braylen Ryskamp for competing at the JV State Powerlifting meet last weekend. Gabby Johns earned 5th in the State in the 155 lbs division, and the JV Girls team finished 4th out of 60 represented JV Girl teams, and only 2 points away from earning the 3rd place team trophy!

Happy Birthday to Ruby Okma and Jaelin Russell!

Happy Birthday to Alexia Shananaquet on Sunday!
